Was sind Peptide? Bindungen und Aminosäurereste

Was sind Peptide?

Source sentenceDefinition, first paragraph: amides derived from two or more amino carboxylic acid molecules; bond from carbonyl carbon to nitrogen, with formal water loss.1 IUPAC Gold Book, peptides (P04479),2025; adapted definitions CC BY-SA4.02 IUPAC and IUB nomenclature: peptide definitions and residues Die zugrunde liegenden Aminosäuren müssen nicht alle gleich sein. Source sentenceDefinition, first two sentences: water elements removed on peptide formation; what remains of each amino acid is a residue; all chain units are residues. Terminal definitions distinguish N-terminal and C-terminal residues.3 IUPAC Gold Book, amino-acid residue (A00279),2025; adapted definitions CC BY-SA4.02 IUPAC and IUB nomenclature: peptide definitions and residues Die IUPAC bezeichnet alle Einheiten einer Peptidkette als Aminosäurereste. Source sentenceDefinition: peptides containing ten or more amino-acid residues.6 IUPAC Gold Book, polypeptides (P04749),2025; adapted definitions CC BY-SA4.05 IUPAC organic class definitions: peptides, polypeptides and proteins Für Proteine nennt das Gold Book natürliche und synthetische Polypeptide oberhalb einer ungefähren Molekülmasse. Source sentenceDefinition: naturally occurring and synthetic polypeptides with molecular weight greater than about10000; limit is not precise.4 IUPAC Gold Book, proteins (P04898),2025; adapted definitions CC BY-SA4.05 IUPAC organic class definitions: peptides, polypeptides and proteins
